Laszlo (Dr. Laszlo Perlaky) and Lexi (Alexandra Nemeth) are husband and wife, born and raised in Hungary and worked at Baylor College of Medicine and DermSurgery Associates in Houston during the week and were photographic artists on the weekends. After 30 years of dedicated service, they retired and moved to the pine forest of the Tahitian Village of Bastrop about 2 years ago, and became full-time photographic artists.
Laszlo: After 20+ years of black and white photography, he transitioned to the chrome medium, and then about 15+ years ago, the new technology helped him to rediscover the monochrome, combining large-format film photography with quad-tone printing. He has won several prestigious awards, and published and exhibited his work in group and solo exhibitions. He is a member of several national and international photographic organizations, such as naturArt (Hungarian Nature Photography Association), North Austin Pfotographic Society, Lost Pines Art Center (Bastrop), and an elected Board Member at the Lost Pines Art League. Laszlo is a photography instructor at the Houston Center for Photography and Houston Photography Study Group.
Lexi: She started to take nature and travel photographs 20+ years ago and became a member of the Houston Photographic Society, Houston Center for Photography, Visual Arts Alliance, North Austin Pfotographic Society, and Lost Pines Art Center (Bastrop), to name a few. She uses her Nikon DSLR system mostly for close-ups, nature, and travel photography. She has successfully participated in local and international photography contests and exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions and Art Festivals.
