Laszlo’s Through The Lens Photo-hike at Brazos Bend State Park

We had a great time on my “Through the Lens” photo hike yesterday, from late afternoon till almost dark at Brazos Bend Stae Park, TX. Four of us looked for reflections and side-lit landscapes at New Horeshoe Lake, discussed the lighting and composition options and took few photographs. Laszlo used his “Texas Leica” (Fuji GW690III) film camera loaded with Ektar 100 color negative film. The participants enjoyed the discussion about hyperfocal distance settings and metering the light with handheld lightmeter. Continued to walk along the outer rim of New Horseshoe Lake then on the loop trail around Old Horseshoe Lake. Unfortunately the Old Horseshoe Lake overlook area was overgrown and we did not see the water. However, we got nice views from the other side of the lake, framing the images with old oak tree branches or at the other spot, yellow flower blanket covered the foreground. We photographed the landscape at the last touch of light. We hiked about 2 miles and really enjoyed the outing. Attached few of my photographs taken during the photo hike.
