Laszlo Perlaky: “Wabi-Sabi” (2008)

“Wabi-Sabi” is part of my visual translation of this Japanese aesthetic to photographic art to show the beauty of imperfection. The series of images was taken with a soft-focus lens and dedicated to tribute to Ken, whose soul continues to live in Brazos Bend SP, TX. The early morning light reflecting on the dried or damaged plants are metaphor and the shapes and colors create an imaginative, intimate series of photographs.
